HEADLINGING IMPROV COMEDY from Houston and Chicago

Magical Lying Hour (Houston, TX) is where every night is opening night. We pair actors and improvisers, the actors prepare a scene from a contemporary American play and do not deviate from their lines as written, while the improvisers do what they do best and create a new world to play in. They come together to create a scene neither could have done on their own, in what is often affecting, occasionally devastating, and always hysterical.

BASSPROV (Chicago, IL) has been performing together for over 20 years. Legendary improvisers and teachers Joe Bill and Mark Sutton perform as characters Donny Weaver (Sutton) and Earl Hinkle (Bill). As they fish in their improvised ‘boat’ on stage, they talk, drink, and improvise the most amazing stories you’ve ever heard.
