Miles For Migraine, in collaboration with the U.S. Pain Foundation and Phoenix Children’s is hosting a one-day educational program. This event will provide an opportunity to meet other children and families who live with migraine and pain in an environment of support and understanding.
This first of its kind program is being held to discuss the challenges facing the entire family while children who live with migraine and pain can develop community and coping skills.
Suitable for ages 11+. Children and Caregivers to attend. No respite care provided.
Our Goal
- Provide rudimentary knowledge of headache/migraine/pain and what it means to cope with pain to help prevent ED and clinic visits as well as social support amongst teens/caregivers
- Introduce patients and families with coping skills and exposure to non-pharmacological strategies in hopes that they will adapt and utilize these skills to improve their ability to self-manage pain at home. This will in turn increase quality of life.
