This year’s Convention, titled He Awa Whiria or “A Braided River,” will take place from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st September 2025. It will be held at the James Hay Theatre in the iconic Christchurch Town Hall – one of the premier concert venues in Aotearoa.The theme He Awa Whiria celebrates the choruses and quartets of the Aotearoa Barbershop community coming together, intertwining our voices in unity, like the rare braided rivers found in Canterbury, Alaska, Canada, and the Himalayas. We are proud to be hosting a weekend filled with exceptional performances!
A special highlight! On Saturday evening, 20th September, we will be joined by “Three and a Half Men” – the 2024 BHS International Quartet Champions. Their performance will be a must-see and a highlight of the weekend! Be sure to check them out on the BHS YouTube channel for a preview of what’s to come.
