HBCU Pop-Out

The HBCU Pop Out is a film screening and mixer event for HBCU alum, students, lovers of HBCU culture and Charlotte creatives to connect! Featuring a special screening of THE MECCA, an HBCU short film series presentation created by writer and director Tevin Scott.

Meet the Host:

Tevin Scott is a writer, director and comedian from Charleston, SC. A graduate of Howard University, Tevin created a love letter to HBCU's called THE MECCA that was licensed to Revolt TV and sold to streaming platform Quibi in 2020. As a Hollywood film/TV professional, Tevin worked on shows such as HBO's Insecure, Netflix's Raising Dion, and Netflix's My Life With the Walter Boys. @realtevinscott
