Hazel Mae: Before I Let You Go
About this Event
Ticket & Rush Line Policy: Doors open at 6:00pm (1-hour before the start of the conversation). Tickets are only guaranteed until 6:45pm, or until capacity is reached. Please plan to arrive early for this event. Beginning at 6:45pm, any unredeemed tickets will be released and remaining space will be opened up to the rush line on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached.
Host Update: Legendary Canadian broadcaster Melissa Grelo is now hosting this event. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Ernie Clement is no longer able to participate.
In Before I Let You Go, Mae invites us into a candid, behind-the-scenes look at her life, from her early days in the Philippines to her arrival in Canada and her rise through the ranks of sports journalism.
With warmth and wit, she reflects on breaking into broadcasting, navigating the US sports media scene, returning home to cover the Toronto Blue Jays, and mastering the art of the post game interview—often while dodging celebratory Gatorade showers.
Hazel Mae speaks with broadcaster Melissa Grelo about her memoir and life as one of Canada's most recognizable broadcasters.
Q&A and book signing to follow. Books available for purchase.
