Join us for an exciting in-person event where you'll:
- Hear from six Fayetteville Street Corridor churches, who listened to the community and reimagined their spaces better serving local need;
- Engage panelists from New Chapter Ventures, the City of Durham, and Hayti Promise CDC, on topics of placemaking, partnerships, and revitalization;
- Connect with neighbors, share ideas, and celebrate Hayti’s legacy of honoring the past by empowering the future.
- Light morning refreshments and buffet lunch provided.

Welcome and Introduction

Info: Brief introduction from the New Chapter Ventures team: thanking Cohort sponsor, Hayti Promise CDC; highlighting the terms "placemaking" and "adaptive reuse;" introducing church teams; and giving layout of the day.

Church Pitch Proposals (15-20 minutes each)
Info: Hear from 3 of 6 churches. Each church team will begin with a 2-3 minute Vision Video, highlighting their church's property and assets. Then, listen to a 7-10 minute Pitch Proposal, sharing reimagined uses for their underutilized spaces, based on conversations with neighbors and community members. Conclude with 5-7 minutes of time for affirmations, questions, and constructive feedback from the audience.
