Hays Street Demolition Event

The Harris County Housing Finance Corporation and the Harris County Housing and Community Development Department are hosting a special demolition event on Hays Street, in Houston’s Northside community, at the future site of a new affordable multifamily development that will incude at least 90 apartment units.

The event will celebrate the start of this transformative project for the Northside community, where residents have identified affordable housing as a top need. Harris County Pct. 2 Commissioner Adrian Garcia will kick off the project with a ceremonial demolition of one of the buildings on the site, which formerly was home to Yellow Cab.
