About this Event

Hayden Lee

Hayden is a singer/songwriter out of Charlotte, NC with roots in alternative rock. He started his musical career in coffee shops at the College of William and Mary and was a member in the Stairwells, an all-male a cappella group.

In 2008, he teamed up with Producer and Musician, Ron B. Smoov, where they started working on his first album, "House of the Lonely Souls". The goal has always been to make a unique sound that has catchy hooks, flowing harmonies, edgy guitars, and expressive lyrics that will grab listeners. And, with Clayton "Clayfunk" Turnage on drums, it's hard for heads to stop bopping uncontrollably.

"House of the Lonely Souls" has a song for every listener and has roots in alternative rock, pop, and funk. Since the original album, Hayden has recorded an acoustic EP and his latest EP, “Just Beyond the Shadows” with Justin Wyatt, which focuses less on production and more on driving guitars and harmonic choruses. Make sure to pick it up on iTunes, CD Baby, or Amazon!

Jason Manns grew up in Bowling Green, Virginia, then spent 15 years forging a successful independent music career in Los Angles, and now splits his time between the two. He’s a singer/songwriter/producer whose original music has been featured on multiple TV shows and movies, (Supernatural, Parks & Rec, Happy Endings, Where Hope Grows, A Summer Wedding, etc.) His last album, a collection of cover songs, debuted at #14 on Billboard’s Americana/Folk Charts, #2 on Billboard’s Heat Seekers Albums, and he was #33 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists Charts. He has produced a Jazz album for Gil McKinney (debuted as #1 Jazz album on Itunes), a soon to be released Blues album for Briana Buckmaster, and is currently producing a record for Michael Rosenbaum’s band The Sandwich.

He recently teamed up with Rob Benedict to form The Station Breaks whose debut self-titled album was recently released and received a warm reception from fans of both artists. You can catch him on tour in Europe and the U.S., either solo or with the Station Breaks.

Billy Moran’s explorations into the world of music came in his hometown of Fairfield, CT. At the age of eleven he picked up his brother’s guitar to play along with Adam Clayton’s bass line in U2’s “Where the Streets Have No Name.” The ease with which he picked out the notes and learned the song showed the youngster that he truly had a gift. He began devouring music with a passion, even locking himself in his room until he’d learned a song completely.

Adding to that passion was the influence of Guns N’ Roses guitar great, Slash, whose musical imprint can be heard all over Moran’s playing. Entranced by Slash’s signature sound, Moran rushed out to buy “Appetite for Destruction.” Within a week’s time Moran was able to play each and every song off the album, having learned them by ear.

That attention to detail and the relentless pursuit of perfection have become two crucial tenets to Moran’s musical personality. “I take a great deal of pride in the instrument, constantly seeking new tones and finding other players that inspire me to want to create. I love the feeling I get when I push the boundaries of my own capabilities,” he shares.

With comparisons to artists like Gary Clark Jr. and Trey Anastasio (Phish), Moran has made a career out of enhancing songs. Moran began performing in a number of bands starting from middle school on before starting his own in his senior year of high school entitled Circle of Karma. Before long, despite solid success opening for Godsmack, Circle of Karma faded. Shortly after, Moran joined up with another local band, X-IT, which led to rave reviews and opportunities to open for artists like Wyclef Jean and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones.

But Moran was still restless and was eager to continue improving and growing in his craft. In 2001, he loaded up his things and moved to the West Coast, settling down in Los Angeles. Before long, he formed Lost In Mayberry, a three piece rock trio. One night Moran was reassured he was on the right path, when after a show at the Viper Room, he was approached by music personality, Matt Pinfield, who praised the band's performance that night.

When LIM eventually disbanded in 2006, Moran was determined to not let the momentum fade and landed a gig with up and coming band, Louden Swain. It was here that Moran truly came into his own, writing and arranging the music for several songs; Carpool Lane, Mrs. Vance, She Waits, Past Perfect, Fifteen, Honey Bee and Help You. The latter was placed on the soundtrack for the feature film “A Little Help.” His relentless love of music lead reviewers such as Music Connection to comment, “Louden Swain demonstrates why the bar for musicianship and song crafting is so high in the "indie" world.”

It’s the future that Moran has his eyes set on now as he continues to step out onto the stage with Louden Swain to bring their music to fans across the globe. “My goal is to connect with as many people as I can with the music I write and perform. Some of the best feedback I’ve ever received after a live performance is when someone tells me that the music I created helped change their life or even saved their life in some cases. That’s such an indescribable feeling.”

It’s all a result of Moran’s enduring love of his craft as he continues his dream to create and to touch others’ lives.
