Ever wanted to have a go at cross country but not sure where to start? or maybe you need a bit of help to build yours or your horses confidence around a cross country course.
With the wonderful facilities on offer at Ickworth park partnered with a friendly, patient and experienced coach makes this training clinic perfect for anyone wanting to come and experience the popular elements of a cross country course such as water, banks, steps and ditches at easy to manage heights.
The Coach:
Clare Pettitt: BHS Stage 4 Teach, UKCC Level 2, RDA and Pony Club Coach.
"I take a holistic approach to my teaching valuing both the welfare of my clients and their horses and like to work as a team to get the best results whether for a happy hacker or a competition partnership."
Clare holds her BHS Stage 4 Coach, UKCC 2 and is Chief Instructor for Suffolk Pony Club and an RDA Coach, Clare is experienced at coaching a variety of different ages, levels and abilities. She is extremely friendly, experienced and patient making her the perfect coach for our Have a Go training clinic.
The XC Course
The cross country course is set within the picturesque park grounds at Kings Meadow and boasts a wonderful selection of over 100 well maintained fences ranging in height from approx 20cm going up to 1.10m and includes popular XC elements such as banks, ditches and steps as well as a wonderful water complex.
Groups
Riders will be grouped according to ability and jumping height so please give a brief, honest description of jumping experience when entering.
Open to all ages (groups may be mixed ages)
Groups starting at 0-40cm (optional tiny jumping, more of a hack with water/banks and steps) and going up to 60-70cm
(please select group height at time of booking)
Approx 90min sessions
Limited spaces so book early
£55 per person
(Price includes your XC schooling pass)
