?O’Zapft is!? Vector HAUSFEST returns for the fifth annual Oktoberfest celebration in the Highlands on Saturday, October 12!
Join us for a full day of shopping, live music, brews, food, and weenie dogs a-plenty, plus get your steps in for the day with our first ever 4K fun run! As always, Oktoberfest attire is encouraged for those looking to put in the extra effort. And the best part? NO TICKET IS NEEDED!
????‍♂️??‍♀️ 4K Fun Run/Walk - 8am - FREE to participate
Our neighbors the Gym LH and YAM will be warming up runners for a 4K trot through the neighborhood behind our shopping center. Feel like walking instead? Join Missfits and Premier Martial Arts LH for a family fun run/walk at 8:15am behind our shopping center on Queenswood. Crusty the Pizza Man may just join the festivities too!
? Small Business Market Village - 9am-5pm
Take a stroll through our back parking lot and support local by shopping local!
? German-style brews on tap!
Enjoy a taste of the Deutschland with our seasonal favorites, including our NEW Hausfest Oktobefest-style Festbier, Einzelstern Dunkelbrau, Mountain Child German-style Pilsner, and Moonsmoke Lichtenhainer-style Tart Smoked Lager.
Get your first pour in our souvenir 0.5L ceramic stein of frothy goodness for just $20 and keep the stein. (Supplies limited, so get here early!)
? Hut-Hut!
It's TX/OU weekend! We'll have the big game on the TV's starting at 2:30pm (w/ sound on inside the taproom) so you won't miss a play.
?? Bites and Brats!
Wunderbar! The Wurstock returns! This fan favorite is our version of the corndog, but with bratwurst! We'll also be offering a limited menu of our stone deck, sourdough pizzas during the party.
? Weenie Dogs!
We will once again feature our annual Weenie Parade (with The Dachshund Lovers of Texas Rescue) starting around 2:00pm. Any attendees that own a dachshund are welcome to feature their pups in the parade too! And of course there’s a prize for best-dressed pup.
? Live Music in the Biergarten!
Crowd favorite the Oom-pah Daddies will be performing their style of party polka and Balkan rock from 12-2pm in the biergarten outdoor patio.
? Games and Feats of Strength!
Stein Hoisting Contests at 1pm and 6pm
Arm straight out, elbow locked, don’t spill a drip. See if you can last the longest! There will be both a men’s and women’s division, with only 12 spots for each contest.
✍️ Tattoos by Joe Campos!
Have you been inked at a brewery? If so, there’s a pretty good chance it’s by our friend Joe. Well, he’ll be here again with tons of cool flash.
Party ends at 10pm
**HOUSEKEEPING NOTES**
As in years past, we’re spreading out the party to be primarily outdoors, and are investing in extra seating options outside under our shaded beer tent. Beer stations will be located out back as well.
The Children’s Half Pint play area will be open starting at 2:30pm in order to make room for our entertainment at noon. Children are welcome to attend, but please keep an eye on them. The Kiddie Curfew will be in effect starting at 8pm. Leashed pups are also welcome outside (no dogs inside as per city health code.)
We will not be offering our normal takeout for the day. We thank you for your understanding.
Parking in the Lakeridge shopping center will be limited, so we highly suggest a ride share such as Uber or Lyft, or parking in the neighborhood and walking a bit. Needless to say, please be courteous to our neighbors and respect our ‘hood.
