Un jardin près de la maison. Une femme court, sa petite fille essaie de la rattraper. Elle crie : « Maman, viens ici ! Maman ! Maman ! » La mère continue de courir sans se retourner. La petite fille est désespérée. Cette image reste gravée dans le film de Melanie Lischker. Elle en définit le thème. Le film dresse le portrait d'une femme, une mère, qui a passé sa vie déchirée entre le désir de sécurité, d'enfants, d'un mariage et le besoin de s'épanouir et d'être indépendante. D'abord heureuse, elle a peu à peu le sentiment d'être coincée. Le mouvement féministe ne s'avère pas assez percutant dans cette petite ville de Bavière. Un regard affectueux sur la vie de sa propre mère dans un contexte historique.
La série "Je suis CONTRE! - Indignation, protestation et résistance au cinéma" est présenté par le Goethe-Institut Montréal en collaboration avec les étudiants du Collège Maisonneuve. Les projections de bienfaisance serviront à financer un voyage des étudiant.e.s à Berlin dans le cadre du Festival international du film de Berlin en février 2026.

The film series "Against it! - Indignation, protest and resistance in film" is presented by the Goethe-Institut Montreal in collaboration with students from Collège Maisonneuve.The donations collected at these screenings will be used to fund a trip for students to Berlin as part of the Berlin International Film Festival in February 2026.
