Haunted Queen Mary: Legends and Lore of the Ghosts of the RMS Queen Mary
About this Event
The Commodore of the Queen Mary, Everette Hoard, will regale us again with stories of the legendary ship, this time with a Halloween twist! Commodore Hoard will share the Queen Mary’s more vibrant, ethereal history of the ghosts that haunt her hallowed decks. Hear the legends and lore of hauntings past and present as Commodore Hoard paints a vivid picture of the Queen Mary’s compelling history in peace, war, fair weather and foul, as well as 55 years as a Southern California icon. The Commodore will share many of his own chilling experiences that have been so frequent in his more than 40 years of association with the great ship. He will also share his own opinions as to why the vessel is haunted. All in all, this presentation is a bit creepy, a bit fun, and is filled with that enchanting allure that is the Queen Mary’s own very special magic.
I have had the pleasure of having Commodore Hoard lead many of my tours of the Queen Mary, and he is a fascinating fountain of information about this floating treasure of Art Deco.
