Haunted Gallery - art by flashlight in Brooklyn // NYC Halloween 5PM-12AM
About this Event
Explore our haunted night gallery where over 80 NYC artists will have their dark, curious, surreal, whimsical work on display in Park Slope, Brooklyn from OCT 15 - OCT 31. Instead of brightly lit gallery walls, we turn the lights off and hand you a flashlight.
Get curious and come explore art in this new immersively eerie way. A creepy playlist from scary movies past will accompany you. Incredible art in multiple mediums including painting, illustration, photography, printmaking, collage, assemblage, and digital. Come for the art, stay for a drink.
Evening events through Halloween weekend and late night gallery hours Thursdays through Sundays.
ABOUT US:
The Skeleton Crawl is not your typical art exhibition. We are a crowd-funded arts organization that began as a rebellion against the contemporary fine art gallery scene. We showcase subject matter, mediums, and styles that often get overlooked by curators and we purposefully juxtapose works in a wide price range to keep art accessible to a variety of art lovers.
We want to revive the dying art of buying art by creating a different way for artists to be discovered. Our online gallery is up year round and we host a pop-up interactive multi-medium art experience in NYC once a year in honor of Halloween.

We operate via donations alone. Please consider donating to keep this creepy thing alive.

A Page of Madness (Kurutta Ippēji)
Directed by Teinosuke Kinugasa & co-written by Yasunari Kawabata.
A Page of Madness (Kurutta Ippēji) is a 1926 Japanese silent avant-garde film. Lost for 45 years until it was rediscovered by Kinugasa in his storehouse in 1971, the film is the product of an avant-garde group of artists in Japan known as the Shinkankakuha (or School of New Perceptions) who tried to overcome naturalistic representation. Nottingham Culture's BBC preview of the film called it, "a balletic musing on our subconscious nightmares, examining dream states in a way that is both beautiful and highly disturbing."
