About this Event

Step into Oxford’s ghost-ridden history, if you dare...

Did you know that Oxford is one of the most haunted cities in England? Uncover its chilling past at a hair-raising, spine-tingling evening of spooky storytelling with two of the city's leading ghost tour guides.

In the eerie setting of the museum after dark, objects from Oxford’s long history evoke haunting memories of macabre events. You will hear sinister tales of enraged poltergeists, abandoned lovers, a headless king, and even the devil himself.

From the ghosts of Oxford’s Civil War casualties to a lofty college’s haunted cesspit, let yourself be drawn into stories that have been handed down through generations. Your guides will share details of their own supernatural experiences, and you may hear whispers from the other side yourself…

Each ticket includes a free drink and a special mini guide to Oxford’s and MOX’s haunted places and objects.

Tickets cost £15 and are available to purchase online (booking fee applies) or at the Museum shop.

SPECIAL EARLY-BIRD DISCOUNT: book your tickets in September for 20% off! Discount automatically applied at checkout. Valid until 11:59pm on 30th September.

Accessible toilets are available in the Town Hall on the ground floor before entering the Museum, and also in the Museum on the basement level.
