Gardeners for Good wants to celebrate the end of our first growing season, and we want you to be there too!
Without our community we would never have been able to share up to 50 lbs of produce to the people of Lower North Mankato every week!!! Thanks to your donations and sharing our messages on social media we are growing our reach and our impact every day.
So now it's time to celebrate!
Come to our potluck on October 3rd, some of our members will be cooking up soups and chili, feel free to bring bread, salads, desserts or anything to share, or just come, don't bring anything at all and eat something anyway. There are no rules.
We will also have lots of information about what you can do, now that it's getting colder, to store and use what you've already grown, get ready for next years garden and even ways to grow and harvest food in the Minnesota fall and winter.
We are also asking anyone who wants to to please bring an example of your art. Anything you have created, assembled, built or put together. We want to see your paintings, crossstich, seed art, the shirt you sewed, your pottery, we want to read your poetry, hear your song, touch your quilt. We will display everything people bring, by 10:45am, for everyone to see. People will be able to vote for their favorites in 2 categories (over age 18 artists and under age 18 artists) from 11:30-1:30. Then at 1:50 we will announce the winners, who will each receive a gift card to Artifact!
•We encourage artists to take their artwork home with them. Anything left behind will be auctioned off on our Facebook page, and the proceeds will be used for next year's garden.
The sharing table will also be set up that week at Harvest Festival for anyone to grab whatever they need. Feel free to bring your own extras down and add them to the table.
There will also be games, and fun, laughter and community and maybe a garden gnome!
