Harry Potter Unit Study

-IF YOU'VE REGISTERED FOR OUR OCTOBER/NOVEMBER CLASSES YOU DO NOT NEED TO REGISTER AGAIN. IT IS ASSUMED THAT YOU WANT TO CONTINUE EACH MONTH UNLESS YOU LET US KNOW THAT YOU'RE STOPPING.-

This class is held on Tuesdays from 10:15am-12:15pm all school year long. For girls and boys of all ages.

A Unit Study is a type of curriculum that organizes all subjects around one topic. In this case it's Harry Potter! We will be alternating 3 "classes" each week for a total of 12 different "classes" each month.

November/December's Calendar Lessons:

• History of Magic (Magic of the World) - Wizard's Winter Revels
• Owl Studies (Zoology) - Northern Hawk Owl & Northern Pygmy-Owl
• Muggle Studies (Ancient History) - A Raid & A Feast

12/5

• Astronomy (Constellations) - Crater & Corvus
• Transfiguration (Art) - The Great Hall Chalk Pastels
• Defense Against the Dark Arts (Crafts) - What's Your Sign? Constellation Caster

12/12

• Alchemy (Geology-Crystals) - Jade, Tourmaline, Mica, Moonstone
• Ancient Studies (World Geography) - Bayou la Croake, Louisiana
• Herbology (Herbs) - Herbs of the Magic Garden & Talking to Plants

After Christmas Break and we'll start this class back up in January. This class has a full years worth of lessons, and we have it on our calendar every year. This one can be joined at any time.

Cost: $45 per student for these 3 classes.

Payment Due: November 1st 2023 @ 3:00pm

We'll be outside under a huge pavilion so prepare yourself for the day's weather. Bring enough water, bug spray, personal fans, warm clothing, etc. We meet in the rain, as the pavilion is huge, and we stay dry. Please check our FB Page to see if any updates have been made about the classes each day. ALL announcement will be via that location, as this one doesn't allow me to post from my phone. If you're planning on dropping off your child please contact Kei Denevan our Head Organizer first to get approval.
