Harry Potter Castle (Hogwarts) and Bamburgh Day Trip

  • As the most popular tour every year and A-MUST-DO for all Harry Potter fans, join to step inside the wizard's magical world in Harry Potter Castle featured in 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' and 'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets' and enjoy a fantastic day out exploring the second biggest inhabited castle in the UK and lots of Harry Potter themed activities and magic shows! The Castle also appears in Transformers II and Downton Abbey. As our most popular tour every year and a must-do for all Harry Potter fans, this is your chance to step into the wizarding world at Harry Potter Castle — featured in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and enjoy an unforgettable day exploring the second-largest inhabited castle in the UK, with plenty of Harry Potter-themed activities and magical shows to bring the experience to life. This iconic castle has also been featured in Transformers II, Dungeons & Dragons and Downton Abbey!

  • A return journey and transportation by a luxury coach with AC, TV screens and toilet
  • Fully guided tour with a friendly local guide, hiking/walking and free time for sightseeing, shopping and visiting attractions

Places we explore:

  • Harry Potter Castle: Visit Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and enjoy a flying lesson with a broomstick at the exact location where Harry had his first flying lesson and Quidditch practice. Join the Harry Potter Ground Tour, experience magical Harry Potter Shows, and have fun spotting film locations from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. (Entry is exculded).
  • Alnwick Tree House: Explore one of the largest treehouses in Europe, located at Harry Potter Castle.
  • Alnwick: Stroll through the ancient town of Alnwick, taking in the picturesque view from Lion Bridge and along the Aln River.
  • Bamburgh Beach and Bamburgh Castle: Admire the impressive Bamburgh Castle, one of the most historic castles in England, set against one of the best and most expansive beaches in the country, famously featured in Transformers II.
  • Dunbar and Ruins of Dunbar Castle: Visit the charming town of Dunbar and explore the ruins of Dunbar Castle, once invaded by Oliver Cromwell.

About the Tour

  • Spend a day in the magic of Harry Potter Castle, famously known as Hogwarts. You'll have plenty of time to explore the castle and enjoy an enchanting tour filled with exciting Harry Potter-themed activities, including a Flying Lesson by Wizardry Professors (at exact same place as Harry did his first flying lesson), trying on Medieval Costumes, Harry Potter Ground Tour, taking photos with Harry Potter and Hagrid's lookalikes, Medieval Alchemist Show, Crafts with the Company of Artisans Show and much more fun activities. Inside the Castle we will also visit the sumptuous State Rooms, the lovley gardens and Treehouse as well as the Harry Potter's Gift Shop! Please note the activities in the castle are weather dependent. This tour also includes a short stop at Bamburgh with views overlooking the North Sea, Bamburgh Beach Bamburgh Castle and a short stop in Dunbar. As a true Harry Potter fan, this magical adventure just can't be missed!

Lunch / Things to bring with you

  • There will be time for a lunch break in restaurants, however, you can also bring your own packed lunch. Bring with you a Gryffindor Scarf, a camera, warm clothes, proper walking / hiking shoes, an ID, a power bank, a bottle of water and snacks. We will also have tea/coffee and toilet breaks throughout the journey.

  • Tickets are very limited and available based on first come, first served.
  • Tickets are non-refundable if you miss the tour for any reason.
  • If you can no longer attend, you may sell your ticket to others, however, you must notify in advance for check in purposes.

  • Our tours are open to everyone aged 18 and over, including adult students, professionals, visitors, and tourists. If you wish to book tickets for minors, you must contact us in advance.
