Harrison Flynn got his first guitar at twelve in Martinez, California, and had his own band going before he finished high school. He went on to study at the Los Angeles College of Music, and he has played the Whisky a Go Go in Hollywood three times over.
His playing runs from blues rock through sixties psychedelia into southern slide, with Eric Clapton, Rory Gallagher, Jeff Beck and Jerry Garcia all audible in the phrasing. He also holds the Duane Allman chair in Idlewild West, the Allman Brothers tribute band, which tells you how seriously he takes a slide. For this one he comes home to the Bay with a trio, Mars Horner on bass and Arthur Siegel on drums.
