HARP/BODY/MIND/HEART by Ariel Sol is part performance, part sound installation, and part meditation.

A soft industrial house beat is divided in three according to the classical trio of Heart, Body, and Mind: The Mind, represented by a Muse EEG, and Body, represented by Webcam, are real-time controllers that audience members are invited to interact with hypnotic harp melodies act as the Heart, connecting the sounds of all three inputs.

HARP/BODY/MIND/HEART is an experimental work that explores the mind-body relationship through performance and meditation. By measuring brainwaves and motion, HARP/BODY/MIND/HEART reveals the innermost beauty of our subconscious systems. It's a space for both rest and play, a space to listen, and a space to create together.

Ariel Sol pioneers the future of sound as an LA-based composer, harpist, and interactive producer. Hailing from Chicago, he is passionate about bridging genres and disciplines to foster community. From sweeping cinematic pop to VR soundscapes- storytelling, identity, and empowerment intersect to form his dynamic approach to the music of today.

About the Artist

Ari was the 3rd prize winner of the 2024 World Harp Competition, the 2023 recipient of the Society for Electroacoustic Music in the United States' Allen Strange Award, and a 2022 Young Artist in Residence of American Public Media's "Performance Today." He earned BMs in Composition and Harp from Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music and is currently pursuing an MS in Game Design & Development at University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts.
