The Angelica Duo (Beverly Wesner-Hoehn harp and Anita Fetsch-Felix violin) present a concert featuring celestial works by Saint-Saëns and Massenet assisted by Heinz Denoyo organ.
The Angelica Duo was formed as a result of years of performing together in the Gold Country Chamber Orchestra Folsom Lake Symphony and the Sacramento Choral Society and Orchestra. The first piece that Anita and Beverly played together in 2002 was the Meditation from Thais the most famous work ever written for harp and violin and a truly magnificent story of forgiven love. They enjoy playing a wide variety of chamber works originally written for their instruments as well as quality transcriptions. Angelica Duo premiered Aqueous States by Boston composer Arnold Friedman on the Festival of New American Music at Sacramento State University and was invited to repeat the performance in Boston. While in Boston the Duo presented compositional lectures to students and performed at the historic King’s Chapel to much acclaim. Recently they toured the north coast of California and were presented in recital for the Opus Chamber Series in Mendocino and the Art Series at Crocker Museum as well as the In Concert Sierra of Grass Valley.
