This dynamic concert weaves together centuries of music on the theme of renaissance, renewal, rebirth and the passage of time. From English madrigals and romantic Lieder, to contemporary classical choral repertoire, to timeless cherished popular songs and even stylistic parodies, we celebrate the universal human experience of the passage of time and the turning of our hemisphere to the season of spring. This concert's repertoire is as musically varied as we are as people - yet is tied together on the thread of renewal, and may also contain a few surprises. From songs like "In these delightful, pleasant groves" by Henry Purcell, to "If You Love For Beauty" by Clara Schumann; to "We Are The Stars" by James Eakin III, to "Man In The Mirror" by Michael Jackson, we’ll take you on a journey through time, memory, and the music that has shaped us and will continue to renew us for centuries to come.
