Step into the rhythm of history during Art Week Miami as the Overtown Business Association presents the Harlem of the South Flash Mob: A Main Street Renaissance!

Once known as “The Harlem of the South,” Historic Overtown was the heart of Miami’s Black arts and entertainment scene. This two-day celebration brings that spirit back to life with a vibrant Harlem Renaissance–inspired flash mob featuring dance, live jazz, vintage fashion, and pop-up art experiences throughout the Overtown Main Street District.

✨ What to Expect:

• Live music, dance, and spontaneous performances in the streets
• Harlem-era costumes, makeup, and vintage styling
• Interactive art moments and community participation
• Harlem-style Photo Booth Experience ($10–$25)
• Food and beverage specials from local Overtown businesses

Come dressed in your favorite Harlem Renaissance look — fedoras, pearls, fringe, and flair encouraged!

🎟️ Tickets & Registration:

• Performer Registration – $25
  Includes rehearsal access, official performer wristband, and event insurance coverage. Participants are featured in the Harlem Renaissance flash mob and listed in the event credits.

🌟 VIP Performer Experience – $75
Includes all performer benefits plus a Harlem-style photo booth ticket and a commemorative souvenir.

This event is part of the Art of Black Miami cultural celebration and produced by the Overtown Business Association, operator of the Overtown Main Street District, in partnership with local artists, businesses, and cultural organizations.

• Participants assume full responsibility for their own safety and personal belongings. The organizers, partners, and affiliates are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur during the event.
• By participating, attendees grant permission for photos, video recordings, and other media to be captured and used by the Overtown Business Association and its partners for marketing, archival, and promotional purposes without compensation or restriction.
• All sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred with written notice prior to the event date.
• In the event of inclement weather, performances may be delayed or rescheduled at the discretion of the organizers.
