Harlem Nights with Kicks Sneaker Ball featuring Felicia Gray

The highly anticipated Harlem Nights with Kicks Sneaker Ball, hosted by Dinner with Friends (DWF) and the Charlotte Men's Dinner Group, will take place at the Charlotte Museum of History on Saturday, November 9, 2024. Felicia Gray is an inspirational leader whose work in philanthropy and community building has touched countless lives. She will be the Featured Speaker at the Sneaker Ball, sharing her insights on leadership, service, and community impact. Felicia, alongside her husband, Herb Gray, will also receive the Leaders of the Year Award for their outstanding work in advancing causes that uplift the local community.

Three (3) Course Dinner Choices Include: Beef: Braised Short Rib | Chicken: Roasted Pomegranate Molasses Chicken & Sage | Fish: Seared Cod & Bok Choy | Vegetarian: Trumpet Mushrooms, Handmade Basil Pasta, Butternut Squash Bechamel 

During this exclusive fundraising event will benefit two salient nonprofit academic enrichment programs engaged in empowering the City of Charlotte’s youth:

Butterfly Academy's primary purpose is to provide a safe haven for youth and cultivate creativity while empowering future leaders. There is a particular focus on arts enrichment for middle school youth. Enrichment includes writing, sketching, art, and much more. Through mentorship, youth will develop a support system with trusted individuals. MATH AND ENGLISH ACADEMY

Driven by need, the S.T.A.R.S. program is a proven learning system to enrich students in critical subjects like math, English, and reading through a curriculum based on the North Carolina Standard Course of Study and with the guidance of experienced professionals.
