it's a baybayin workshop, but make it harana night

bring your favourite love songs — the ones that make you feel something, the ones you grew up with, the ones you can’t let go of. we’re going to use them to inspire our baybayin practice. titles, lyrics, or little phrases you want to keep close. and to end the night- optional but highly encouraged karaoke after 👀

• learn the basics of baybayin (beginner-friendly, always)
• write your favourite song titles + lyrics in baybayin
• create a piece you can take home (or keep close)
• be in community to share music and our baybayin practice

this is less “classroom” and more practice + play

• guided baybayin workshop + practice mat
• materials to create your take-home piece
• a drink courtesy of Saintuary (additional menu items available for purchase)
• karaoke after the workshop (if you stay… you should)

baybayin is an ancient filipino writing system used before spanish colonization

learning in a space that does not require your perfection. it’s about starting, practicing, and praticipating in a living writing system. a night for music, memory, and remembering something that already lives in you
