The Friends of Happy Retreat invite the community to join us for a House Dedication Ceremony honoring the generous contributions of the Funkhouser and Fithian families.
This special occasion celebrates their enduring commitment to the preservation and restoration of Charles Washington’s Happy Retreat, as well as their important place in the history of Charles Town and our community.
We are grateful for the families whose generosity, vision, and connection to this historic property have helped ensure that Happy Retreat continues to be preserved and shared for generations to come.
Please join us as we honor their legacy and dedicate the house in recognition of their lasting contributions to Happy Retreat and to our community.
