Tight hips and a stiff lower back are very common, particularly as we age.
Everyday life activities such as walking and bending can become limited, and it's hard to exercise if you're in pain.
The Feldenkrais approach is quite different from stretching and exercise classes. The focus is on learning to sense your body more clearly through slow, gentle guided movement sequences.
This class will help you learn how to liberate and integrate your pelvis, spine, head and eyes.
Your pelvis is the largest and heaviest bony structure in the body and is traversed by the largest muscles. In many ways it can be said to be our centre.
As a martial artist, Moshe Feldenkrais had deep understanding of how the use of the pelvis relates to balance, mobility, stability and power.
The dynamic relationship between head and pelvis is key to a healthy spine and to finding balanced, graceful, powerful movement.
Learning how find support from your centre, as well as reducing strain and pain and improving the quality of your movement, also enhances your capacity to feel confident and grounded.
As you discover how to move with more precision and efficiency, the range of movement in your hips and lower back increases and you can enjoy moving with less pain, improved coordination and a sense of effortless ease.
Cost £12
