HAPPY DANCING on Jupiter Beach!
Come dance barefoot and play games with us right on the beach.
WHEN? Every Saturday evening, 6-9 pm. Rain or shine! Light or dark!
WHERE: beach marker/entrance # 55 in Jupiter, Palm Beach County, south of Carlin Park. North of Jupiter Reef Club.
COMMUNITY. It is a free, family-friendly, multi-cultural gathering
and everyone is welcome: Singles, couples & families with children.
Get to know your neighbors and join them for fun conversations & games such as chess, cornhole, or volleyball.
Here, we express our rhythmical nature, make friends,
unwind, laugh, play drums, swim, dine, watch stars, and celebrate life!
Around 100 people dance or play if it does not rain, and around 20 when it rains.
Our international group speaks many different languages and comes from diverse backgrounds. We have an amazing pool of holistic and homeschooling families as well as brilliant professionals: entrepreneurs, doctors, natural health practitioners, therapists, musicians, writers, artists, educators, engineers, realtors, chefs, scientists, world travelers, etc. Please share your passion and dreams with us!
CAN’T DANCE? TOO SHY? NO PARTNER? No problem. We will introduce you to many fantastic people who welcome you to the happiest group in Florida.
Many of us dance as a group freestyle. Any style. Heart style. Creative style. Serious style or wild style… Reserved or ecstatic.
Improvisational movement is the language of freedom, joy, and connection.
Life is much more beautiful and wholesome when we have friends we can laugh and dance with.
WHAT to BRING: Just yourself. You and your smile are a gift to us, and you are more than enough.
But it would be awesome if you could bring your family, your friends, or your neighbors and help spread the word.
Your leashed-friendly pets are also welcome (make sure your beloved four-legged friend can be secured to a chair or something sturdy while you dance or play games)
Bring anything that would make the night comfortable, like foldable chairs/tables /blankets, towels, natural bug repellent, water, and a thermos with your favorite hot beverage; it is windy and even a bit chilly by the ocean. While some families have full-course dinners or even share potlucks, most just dance. So don’t worry about a thing, but make sure you have some snacks for your own kids, as they quickly get hungry outdoors.
It would help if you brought an umbrella/raincoat or a swimsuit in case it rains, and extra clothes after a good dance sweat or dipping in the ocean waves. Some families bring glow-in-the-dark sticks and balls. They are a real highlight for everyone!
WEATHER. We dance rain or shine! We wait for a while if there is a lightning storm and heavy rain. That beach in Jupiter is unique, as most storms there are brief. It might pour for hours elsewhere, but we stay all dry or get just a drizzle. Some say it is our HAPPY energy...
PARKING. Free parking on the street. The entrance is through the mangroves and has a green sign with the numeral #55. There are no stairs, and it is slightly hilly and rocky. The stairs and showers are nearby: #56-#57. If you need assistance, please message us.
LIGHTS & BON FIRE: We are in the process of getting bonfire permits. In the meantime, we have gentle glowing lights to simulate fire, moon, and stars.
MUSIC: We play the most popular and upbeat hit songs from each continent and eight decades, including Eurovision, American Swing, Bollywood/Indian & Latin dance music: salsa, merengue, mambo, etc.
