Hapa-Zome Tote Bags with Ellie Baddick

This workshop will guide you through the Japanese printmaking process Hapa-Zome (leaf dye), using natural pigments and hammering techniques. Together through composition and colour play, this session encourages creative release in a laid back setting, leaving you with a new skill and custom tote bag to take away.

All materials are provided.

Ellie Baddick is an artist from Barnstaple, North Devon, who recently returned after completing a BA in Fine Art at the University of Plymouth. Her practice explores the intersection of art with social, cultural, ecological, and emotional engagement, highlighting the positive impact that nature and the arts can have on individual and community wellbeing.

Studio Kind is situated at the far end of and within Barnstaple Pannier Market. During out of hours, the market can be accessed by a small wooden door from Butchers Row.

Nearest Car parks are the Cattle Market car park or Barnstaple Central. There is disabled parking on Boutport Street.

The bus station is a 5-minute walk away and the train station a 15-minute walk or bus journey of 10 minutes.

Our venue is wheelchair friendly and accessible to all. There are accessible toilets right next door.
