Celebrate Khanike (Hanukkah) with us! Our fourth Yiddish Dance Night at The Black & Tan Hall will feature Suki's Klezjam and special guests. A lesson with Maia Brown and live klezmer with Shpilkis and The Seattle Klezmer Project! Yiddish dance is joyous, expressive, communal, and very approachable for new dancers. We emphasize a dance culture that celebrates all ages, bodies, and genders!
Suki's KlezJam is Seattle's fresh new klezmer band with a groove that changes smoothly and spontaneously from one mood to another, as the inspiration strikes them, moving from vintage East European and early 20th-century Yiddish music on up to 21st-century experimental. They look forward to getting folks moving at the Yiddish dance and are ready to play everything from doina to zhok for your dancing pleasure.
Doors open at 7pm. Restaurant and bar until 11pm. View our menu at blackandtanhall.com/menu.
Showtime 7 - 10pm
All-ages until 10pm
