MAY 3rd. “Hannya” a Joshua Mizusawa solo art exhibit featuring a new series of acrylic on canvas paintings.
The Hannya mask emerges as a powerful and recurring motif in Mizusawa’s artwork, weaving a haunting tale of a woman betrayed, metamorphosing into a vengeful spirit. Symbolizing the profound impact of our emotions and inner harmony.
In this latest series of paintings, Mizusawa captures the poignant moments when the inner demon, inherent in each of us, is released. Through evocative imagery, viewers are invited to confront their own inner turmoil and witness the transformation that occurs when these demons are set free.
Join us for the opening reception next Friday May 3rd, 5-9pm with ABQartwalk. Featuring music from DJ Wyatt Lawson and a pop-up bar from Teller Vodka.
