Hannah Rose Platt once again makes a very welcome return to Swindon. She has become something of a friend of SoP over the last few years having played some absolutely knockout shows for us, including a fantastic solo set at The Shuffle last year as well as being a key part of the big Buswell & Nyberg vs Xtra Mile show at Earth in Hackney. Hannah Rose Platt is an acclaimed singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and storyteller with a wild imagination, a wicked way with words and an undeniable ear for melody. She effortlessly who merges the sinister authorial prowess of Nick Cave and Tom Waits, with the incandescent vocals of Mazzy Star and PJ Harvey.
Using genre as a vehicle for story, Hannah weaves magic into the mundane exploring beauty in the shadows, infusing emotive, versatile soundscapes with multi-faceted narratives and plot twists.
Born and raised in Liverpool where she wrote her first songs and began cutting her teeth on the local live circuit, Hannah Rose Platt is now based in Bristol where she has become an established figure on the UK music scene, well known for her captivating live shows, often conceptual and immersive in nature.
She has toured alongside notable acts such as Frank Turner, Ed Harcourt and Chuck Ragan, earning a reputation for her magnetic stage presence.
