Hailing from West Michigan’s vibrant creative scene, Loren Johnson has made her mark as a photographer, musician and performer; and is most recognized for her distinctive vocals and bright finger-style guitar.
Between traveling and attending university, Johnson released a string of demos before publishing her first EP “Sleepsick” in December 2016, which rose to iTunes Top 10 best new singer-songwriter releases that January.
Spring 2020 was set for the release of “Into the Morning” - Johnson’s second EP, which coincidentally was released the same week that the COVID-19 pandemic hit the US.
Touring plans scrapped, she dove deeper into her creative community and further honed her song-writing. In January 2021, she debuted an evolved new sound with the release of her first single “Patterns”. Johnson’s debut full-length album How to Change was released April 2023.

Hannah Laine is a Michigan-born singer-songwriter, pianist and loop artist. Laine was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan to music-loving parents who immersed her in the sounds of Simon and Garfunkel, Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, Fleetwood Mac, and Heart, amongst others. She began singing and songwriting at a young age, taking inspiration from her father, who is also a professional singer and guitarist. Hannah started playing piano when she was 8 years old. Over many years of lessons, she learned the language of music and developed the ability to translate the songs in her head to piano and accompany her own voice. She shared her voice frequently, singing in the church band with her father, singing in school choirs and musicals, and eventually performing her own music. The music that we hear from her today is an authentic expression of her soul that is rich, colorful, and deeply moving.
Over the past decade, Laine has shared the stage with many respected artists including Kevin Garrett, The Crane Wives, The Accidentals, Brandon Coleman, Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers, Seth Bernard, Lady Ace Boogie, Desmond Jones, Jordan Hamilton, Scott Pellegrom, Tim Palmieri (Lotus), Michael Travis (String Cheese Incident), and Joel Cummins (Umphrey’s McGee).
In 2017, Hannah Laine released her debut EP Cut Your Strings, which features Brian Williams (drums), Justin Avdek (bass), and Chris Bota (guitar). Shortly after that release, Avdek and Laine started the Future-Soul band Earth Radio, along with Dutcher Snedeker (keys) and Mario Copeland (drums). Earth Radio began as a spontaneous recording collaboration of their debut self-titled album that went on to earn awards for Emerging Artist of The Year and Best Jazz Album at the Michigan music awards show "The Jammies." Since their debut release in 2018, Earth Radio has released 4 additional albums, which have also been recognized at The Jammies (Best Jazz Album and Critics Choice awards), toured the Great Lakes states, performed at various Michigan music festivals, and received recognition in the "Best of The West" awards.
Throughout the past year, Hannah Laine has been busy recording her next EP as a solo artist with drummer and producer David Ward and engineer Maggie Heeren at La Luna Recording and Sound. Inspired by singers Erykah Badu, Nai Palm, Zap Mama, Eva Cassidy, Minnie Riperton, and Cleo Sol, her voice is strong, resonant, and soothing. Much of her songwriting today comes from experimentation with looping, the practice of yoga and meditation, a love of nature, and a keen awareness of herself as a woman in a world in need of healing.
