LEARN ABOUT THE ART OF HANJIDiscover the art of Hanji and create a traditional Korean illustration craft on mulberry paper in this workshop. Hanji is traditional handmade Korean mulberry paper that was made starting as early as 200 AD. While originally valued for its durability and strength, it has become used more frequently in artwork in contemporary times. It is produced by gently tearing up colorful hanji and pasting them together on canvas. The hanji is torn onto layers to express light and shadow, to create depths of color and form shapes.
