Do you remember how we used to hang out before group chats, location sharing, and endless scrolling? For the past few weeks, we've been challenging you to step back into that era of spontaneity with a mix of last-minute plans, offline adventures, and randomly showing up places to see who else had the same idea. So on Thursday, September 17, we're doing it on purpose. Grab a friend and come see who turns up.
We’ll be at Bearded Lady in Prospect Heights from 6 to 9pm, where the cocktails are strong, the vibes are all that and a bag of chips (or in this case, nachos), and someone is likely to challenge you to a game of pool. Your final challenge, should you choose to accept it: find Dan Kois and say hi. The first 30 of you to do it get a drink on us. There’ll be a 90s playlist, themed cocktails, a stack of games straight out of your childhood rec room, and a whole room of Slatesters and fellow challengers. Leave your phone in your pocket and go home with a Polaroid instead.
