Join us for a masterclass on developing your handstand followed by 5 weeks of regular classes to safely build up your balance, strength and flexibility. Handstands as a skill are not only extremely addicting, but also a great way to build up a strong base for more acrobatic circus skills!The masterclass will serve to show you/ give you a chance to refine the foundations of handstands as a practice. From this you will have a base understanding of how, with time and practice, you can find balance.
The following 5 weeks of classes will build on the masterclass, introduce more variations and give you the chance to work more in a group and assist one another, through spotting. After the 5 weeks things will start to make a lot of sense, and you will have clear goals to work towards.
Whether you’re a complete beginner, or are looking to work on more complicated skills, George is committed to working to match the levels of the participants.
The masterclass will be 1 hour and 30 mins on Thursday 25th August 6:30-8 The other classes will be an hour long on Thursdays, 6:30-7:30: 1st Sept, 8th Sept, 15th Sept, 22nd Sept, 29th Sept
What to Bring:
Please make sure you wear non-restrictive clothing + bring a water bottle. And of course your lovely self!
George is a cheerful and bouncy dance/circus artist and yoga teacher with a wealth of knowledge for hand balancing. He has taught handstands to a huge range of people ages ranging from 8-76!
He also has trained with handstand coaches worldwide including performers from the Cirque du Soleil. They also graduated from the Northern School of Contemporary dance, where they were regular guest teacher, and gained their Vinyasa Yoga teaching Qualification in Mysore India.
