It’s time to get your hands messy! In this hands-on experience, you’ll learn how to craft traditional handmade pasta shapes from scratch with guidance from our Scuola Chef. After shaping your pasta by hand, you’ll watch as the Chef prepares a vibrant pesto Genovese demonstration to pair with the finished dish. Enjoy the completed pasta together in class, then take home your handmade shapes to cook and enjoy later at home.

About this Dish:
With hundreds of unique shapes tied to regional traditions and sauces, Italian pasta is a world of its own. In this class, you’ll explore the art of handmade pasta crafted from simple ingredients and generations of technique while learning how different shapes are designed to pair with specific sauces. Alongside your fresh pasta, our Scuola Chef will demonstrate how to make a classic pesto Genovese using fresh basil, olive oil, pine nuts, and cheese to create a bright, aromatic sauce full of traditional Italian flavor.

In this Class You Will:

• Learn about the traditions and culture of handmade pasta & Pesto all Genovese

• Craft traditional pasta shapes from scratch by hand

• Observe as our Scuola Chef demonstrates fresh pesto Genovese

• Enjoy a menu featuring an antipasto, welcome Prosecco, and pesto pasta prepared by our Chef alongside a wine pairing

• Take home your handmade pasta to cook and enjoy at home

Please Note:

• One ticket purchase is valid for one guest

• Seating is first-come, first-served

• Class duration is approximate and may vary by 10-15 minutes

• All guests planning to consume alcohol must be able to produce a valid government-issued identification to prove they are 21 or older. Non-alcoholic beverages are available.

• Classes are also suitable for children 8+ who are passionate about Italian cuisine. Under 15 must be accompanied by a supervising adult.

• Please notify us 48 hours in advance if you have any dietary restrictions. If we are not notified ahead of time of any special needs, we may not be able to accommodate them.

Payment, refund & cancellation policies

Payment in full is required at the time of registration and all sales are final. No refunds are offered on classes and events due to limited space in our schools. For groups of 5-10 guests, a minimum of 7 days' notice is required to receive a credit in the form of a coupon for a future class or event. For groups of up to 4 guests, a minimum of 48 hours' notice is required to receive a credit in the form of a coupon code for a future class or event at La Scuola. We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel a class or event due to unforeseen circumstances, inclement weather or otherwise. In the event of a class or event cancellation, we will contact you directly at the phone number or email address you have provided to offer a full refund or credit to transfer to a future class or event. While we are not able to offer credit, transfers or refunds for last-minute illnesses, work-related conflicts, personal emergencies or events beyond our control, you are always welcome to send someone in your place, as we understand that these things do happen. If you are purchasing this class or event as a gift, please provide this cancellation policy to the recipient, as the policy will still apply. Credits issued for La Scuola events are redeemable ONLY for future La Scuola events and cannot be used to register for events in other parts of the marketplace or exchanged for store credit or Eataly gift cards.
