Objectives:

State Inclusion Criteria

• Define the specific inclusion criteria for trauma registry data entry
• Demonstrate the ability to identify causes (or maybe specifically say date of injury, mechanism of injury, injury code) that meet the established inclusion criteria

Data Dictionary

• Access and utilize the trauma registry data dictionary effectively
• Apply the data dictionary to accurately abstract and categorize patient information

Basic Chart Extraction

• Extract pertinent information from medical charts relevant to trauma registry
• Demonstrate the ability to identify and accurately document key data points required for trauma registry entry during chart abstraction

EMS Run Sheet Upload

• Successfully upload EMS run sheets into the trauma registry
• Verify data integrity and completeness after EMS run sheet uploads

Basic Report Writing

• Develop basic trauma registry reports using relevant data elements
• Present information in a clear and organized manner for analysis and review

Inter-Rater Reliability

• Explain the concept of inter-rater reliability
• Participate in exercises to assess and improve IRR among your team?

Complications/ PI Audits Tab

• Conduct PI audits on trauma registry data entries
• Implement actions based on audit findings
