Hands-on Ergonomics: Decrease Workplace Injuries and Improve Productivity
Injuries that result from poor ergonomics are some of the most common and severe kinds of injuries in manufacturing. Help maintain employee safety, improve productivity, and ultimately save money by implementing simple ergonomic methods and tools.
Join us for a lunch-and-learn to:
- Learn about the benefits of ergonomics, ergonomic risk factors, and ergonomic risk assessment tools that are available
- Discover how 5S and Point-of-use storage (POUS) can promote a culture of continuous improvement
- Learn how to better identify ergonomic issues and safety gaps at your plant

Speakers:
Katie Hines, GaMEP Project Manager, Operational Excellence
Katie uses her extensive experience in manufacturing engineering and quality management to drive process improvement efforts and provide cutting edge solutions for manufacturing companies throughout Georgia.
She holds an M.S. in Chemical Engineering, a B.S. in Polymer and Fiber Engineering, and a Graduate Certificate in Occupational Safety and Ergonomics from Auburn University.
Trey Sawyers, Safety, Health, and Environmental Services at Georgia Tech, Safety and Health Consultant
Trey provides safety and health compliance assistance to small and medium-sized businesses in Georgia. He also conducts consultations on ergonomics in the workplace and helps instruct ergonomics training courses.
He has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Mississippi State University, a Master of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Auburn University, and an Associate Ergonomics Professional from Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics.
