Hands On (Career Trades Open House + After Party)

Looking to get skill training in the trades and set on the path to a sustainable and rewarding career? Then don't miss out on HANDS ON! Hands On is a collaboration between 5 career training and skill development organizations all located within a 3 mile radius in which high school students and adults in their twenties can visit each location for a "hands on" open house followed by an after party with food, music, and prize giveaways. Receive a wood passport (thanks to Next Step) at the first location you visit, then visit all 5 locations and get a passport sticker to be entered into a grand prize drawing! Other prize drawings will also happen for attendees who are not able to visit each location.

Open Houses are from 1-5pm. Locations are:

• Youth Build (1530 Madison Ave SE)
• Next Step (101 Garden St SE)
• Urban League (745 Eastern Ave SE)
• West Michigan Construction Institute (801 Century Ave SW)
• Job Corps (110 Hall St SE)

After Party from 5-7pm. Location:

• Grand Rapids Center for Community Transformation (1530 Madison Ave SE)
• DJ, food, prize giveaways, and additional vendors
