Learn simple bookbinding methods to create your own hand stiched Coptic journal. This binding method features an exposed spine, custom covers, and a beautiful chain stitch, allowing the book to lay completely flat when open. It’s perfect for sketchbooks or writing journals.
No prior bookbinding experience is necessary.
In this workshop, you will:
- Create your own journal from start to finish
- Choose your paper and cover material
- Learn how to bind your journal using the coptic stitch
- Take home your own custom 5.5” by 8.5” journal
Included in the cost of the workshop:
- 4 hours of studio time and in-person instruction
- All materials and tools needed to make a journal
This class is beginner-friendly for ages 14+.
