Handle With Care full training class (New Training)

This is a 12h training session from 8:00am - 12:00pm on December 17th in MMC A & B and from 9:00am-6:00pm on December 19th in the 6th floor Solarium. There will not be class on December 18th between sessions. Attendance is required for the entire duration of the course to receive completion credit.

This Handle with Care behavioral management Full verbal and Physical training class is required by Memorial Medical Center for Clinical staff in high risk areas that have never received handle with care training at Memorial Medical Center.

The following are requirements for taking this class

1) Must be a Memorial Medical center employee.

2)Date of class wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you would be able to work out in.

(No flipflops, sandals, Crocs, heels, open toed shoes, dresses, skirts, overly loose clothing, etc. )

This class will cover the identification of the escalating/out of control person(s), how to verbally deescalate, self-defense techniques, and physical interventions to assist in safety of both the patient and staff.

Failure to show for training after reserving a ticket, will follow the MMC attendance policy appropriately. You MUST cancel your ticket at least 24 hours prior to training if you will not be able to make it. All scheduling accommodations are the responsibility of the employee.
