Join us for our EASTER MESSIAH SING-ALONG
From the good old George Frideric Handel (1685-1759).
Did you know that Handel’s Messiah was originally written for Easter?
Yes, actually the oratorio's structure follows the liturgical year. And it’s world premiere was given during Lent in Dublin, 1742.
You are welcome to celebrate Christ's Passion and Resurrection this year at St Paul’s Lutheran as we sing-along parts of Handel’s oratorio; after all, Handel’s Easter masterpiece, Messiah, was originally intended for performance around Easter, focusing on Jesus's passion, death, and resurrection.
