For 40 years, the Southern Delaware Chorale has brought the power of music and culture to Rehoboth Beach and surrounding areas. It all started back in 1985 when a new woman in town wanted to sing Handel's Messiah at Christmas time, but didn't see any local performances - so, she started her own; and from that came the formation of the Southern Delaware Chorale. Fast forward 40 years: The Chorale is still alive and well and ready to celebrate this momentous occasion the best way they know how - by performing Handel's Messiah. We are honored to be joined this time with another local group, SODELO (The Southern Delaware Orchestra) to perform this piece like never seen before in our area!
