FIRST REHEARSAL FOR OUR 2024 SEASON.Come and be part of the annual event that is at the heart of Sydney's Christmas celebrations every year.
The Handel's Messiah Sydney choir is for skilled choristers and enthusiastic amateur singers. Over nine rehearsals commencing Monday 21st October, you will learn the iconic choral music that is Handel's Messiah.
Join with 500 singers at the beautiful St Stephen's Uniting Church in Macquarie Street (near NSW Parliament House and Martin Place) and experience the thrill of making music that includes the world-famous Hallelujah Chorus.
The choir then performs for two events only, on Saturday 21st December and Sunday 22nd December at the historic Sydney Town Hall.
Following the example of George Frederic Handel himself in 1742, ticket sales from performances raise money for local charities that support the needy and vulnerable in our city.
