Hand Sewing 101- The Basics
Come and join us for this 7 hour workshop where we teach you the basics of hand stitching in a thoughtful and creative way.
All supplies included

Cost: $80.00
This beginner’s class is for anyone wanting to learn the basics of hand stitching for garment sewing, mending, or embroidery. We will move along at a slow, easy pace.
We will cover the following basic stitches:
Running or Straight stitch
Backstitch
Basting stitch
Whip stitch,
Hem stitch,
Blanket/buttonhole stitch.
We will also discuss choosing the best threads, needles and fabric for your project. You will learn when and how to use these stitches in your sewing projects then apply your new skills to create a 4.5 inch patchwork coaster or pincushion.
We provide the space, time and supplies for you to learn this invaluable skill that seems to be forgotten in our busy world.
**Please bring a lunch, beverages, and snacks for our break times throughout the day.**
