Hand Embroidery 6 Week Course - Embroidered Flowers with Susan Rhodes
About this Event
Over the space of the six classes you will learn over 20 embroidery stitches which will build up to create a beautiful floral picture. Each session introduces a number of new stitches, from the basic classics such as satin and stem stitch, to more adventurous ones like Bullion Knots and Portuguese Stem Stitch.
The fabric and needles will be included and we will discuss colour schemes in the first session. We will be working with Perle 8 thread or stranded cottons and if you have some of these in a colour scheme you like, please bring them with you. You will be able to buy threads on the day.
By the end of the course you will have a flower-filled embroidery and know a wide range of stitches to take forward into your next projects.

Supplied: Embroidery Hoop if required, fabric, we also have a selection of needles, odd threads and scissors that can be used on th day. Tea and Coffee
Required: Selection of threads in your own colour pallette. If you need any help with what you need, please ask the tutor on the day or the ladies who work in the craft department.
