Basic demonstration of various world drums, such as the djembe, darbuka, talking drum and more!
Drum circle etiquette 101...Have fun and drum, or dance...
Learn to play a basic heart beat rhythm and how to find it in a group setting.
Call and response playing, as well as other common dance rhythms.
Playing alone, versus group drumming. Playing facilitated, versus impromptu.
About Charles:
Charles Baumgartner is a Musician, Flute Maker, and Reiki practitioner who has been facilitating community drum circles. He has worked with seniors, children and individuals with special needs, as well as other groups facilitating drum activities and healing for the past 5 years. Charles has been a musician since childhood and is inspired by the healing aspects of music, as well as intertwining nature and Reiki with music.
