About this Event
In this artist-led session, explore clay hand-building techniques to create your own personalised amulet inspired by the Foundling Museum's collection.
Discover new materials, network with other young creatives and make a unique work of art from clay.
Taught by our guest artist Charlie Brookes, you will learn how to model and craft your design in clay.
Your ticket includes free entry into the Museum and the workshop will include a gallery visit to inspire your creations.
After the workshop, you amulet will be fired and glazed for collection at a later date. Full details about this process will be shared on the day.
This workshop is open to anyone aged 18-30 and you don't need any prior experience to join us.
If you want to be creative in a supportive environment, learn more about working with clay, and have a chat with other like-minded people, this event is for you!
About your facilitator:
Charlie Brookes is an artist and educator working in ceramics.
Assemblage Collective is an interdisciplinary network of young creatives aged 18-30 founded in May 2020. The Collective aims to build creative communities beyond the bounds of formal education and to provide pressure-free environments where creativity can flourish through a range of workshops and events. Assemblage is currently in residence at the Foundling Museum in London.
