Join us at State Library for a playful hand-building workshop where you create your own little ceramic bird.

This workshop will be led by Sean Gordon from Green Bird Ceramics, in partnership with artisan.

Meet Sean Gordon // Green Bird Ceramics

Based in Meanjin (Brisbane), ceramic artist Sean Gordon creates handbuilt bird-themed works designed to uplift, amuse and invite connection.

Working from his home studio, Sean’s practice is shaped by a lifelong love of birds and a personal journey of creative self-expression. Each piece is crafted with care, character and a touch of humour — celebrating the joy found in small moments of discovery.

Through colour, form and a sense of play, Sean hopes his work offers a little lift — something gentle, meaningful, and made to make you smile.

Workshop Cancellation Policy:
Please note this workshop can be cancelled by artisan due to unforeseen circumstances or if minimum numbers are not reached - this decision is made between 2-7 days before the workshop date so don't delay in buying your ticket! In the event of the workshop being cancelled by artisan, participants will be refunded in full and as soon as possible.

Participant Cancellation Policy:
Workshops have limited spaces and involve preparation by the facilitator. Bookings cancelled up to two weeks prior to the start of the workshop may be refunded, but a 20% non-refundable administration fee will be deducted. Bookings cancelled within two weeks of the workshop commencing will not be refunded. Refunds are to be processed by the attendee through Humanitix.

Workshop Transfer Policy:
You are also welcome to transfer your booking to another person prior to the workshop commencing. Please confirm this arrangement 24 hours prior to the workshop in writing to [email protected].
