Aloha, Gang!
The whispers are true: Red Session, Hawaii’s seminal indie ska band that rose to national notoriety in the 90s is reuniting for a one-off throw-down of epic proportions at Nextdoor in the heart of Chinatown on February 22, 2025.

And we’ll be welcoming mainland artist and special guest Chris Murray (King Apparatus, etc), who has toured the world with his unique brand of original ska music for decades.

This promises to be a generational phenomenon that brings together Gen X old futs and Hawaii’s independent music fans of today.

Red Session helped forge Hawaii’s modern indie scene with countless three-set shows and showcase bills with dozens of other local indie bands all over Oahu and opening for legendary ska bands like The Specials, The Toasters, The Selecter, Fishbone, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Hepcat…this list goes on and on.

Red Session’s exploits on the Continent are a part of American ska history.
Red Session’s members went on to start other successful touring bands and growing families, but we remained brothers (and sister!) in arms, proud of our achievements, our music, and the ohana we created. The magic of the original lineup and songs is back after more than 20 years, and we can’t wait to share it with you.
